Ok, as of Friday the Motocross club worked out something with the land holders, so they *will* still have access to the motocross field (Newfolden, MN), and thus, so will we. For those of you who might not be familiar with this series, Operation Rice Paddy is our yearly Vietnam-themed event. It is never overly large, but there are plenty of other interesting goodies like mortar fire and working landmines. You can expect booby traps, asymmetric scenarios and (hopefully again this year) a small vehicle.
At this time, I am looking at holding the event one of the first three weekends in June, with a preference for the 9th. As I prefer to give people about a two month notice, there remains about two weeks before I would like to nail down the date.
So, if any of you would like to voice your opinions regarding the event date (June 2nd, 9th or 16th) or what you would like to see or not see in the game, now is your chance.

Do you have to be 18 to attend?

No. If I recall correctly, 14 is the minimum to play by yourself (with parental permission if you are under 18). Younger than that and you need a guardian playing with (and in sight of) you at all times. There are additional waivers for minors.

What is that? No more feedback? You all want more mine clearing missions? Preferably in the swamp triangle?
The formal post will be going up next week, but the date is all but finalized for June 9th. Cost will be the same as last year ($20 prereg, $25 walk on). It sounds like our price to use the motocross field is going up, but now that I have reusable firebase materials, my costs have gone down. Tony has said he will bring the Rhino, so the Americans can expect "air support."
Only minor changes to the rules. I added a 450 FPS DMR weapon class, and to comply with MAA standards, players under 18 will have to wear full paintball masks.

June I probably wont be able to get there, as on the 15th I leave for camp grafton for my two weeks. But July 13-15 I have drill..... If it is for the 9th let me talk to the "boss" and see what she says about it.

99% it will be the 9th. I have nothing against the 2nd except it is the weekend immediately after Breedland. You want some time to recover, quiaff?

Long time no see everyone! I honestly don't know if I will make it this year. I had been laid off my last job and for the last year plus I have been working 2 jobs. I have finnilly gotten one job to replace those two, but I don't know when I will be working or if I will be able to get it off. If I do get it off, I will be tring to bring others with me as alway. I might also be able to bring a "combat photograher" with me this year. I know I love looking a film of us in action, and I am almost possitive you all do to. So it's a maybe for me so far.

Good to hear from you Alpha; hope you can make it out again.
My contact for the Motocross field if verifying a few things on his end. Once that happens, I will put up the official announcement. I wanted to do that today, but my contact had not yet done things that I thought he had.
