1-6: The use of laser pointers, on or off of weapons is prohibited, with the exception of infrared lasers that are only visible through night vision. In case of the use of infrared lasers, they shall not be pointed at a players face, under any circumstances. OC staff has night vision. If we see a player point an IR laser at another player's head, the offender will be removed from the event! People's eyesight will be protected!
There were a few Domingo players that were using either red or green lasers. When asking an OC about it we were given the answer that it was ok.
3-1: Players shall refrain from shooting at targets within 10 feet. Within 10 feet, players shall refer to the use of the “Bang” rule (3-2).
Was shot close and have the one mark to prove it, though I was getting reports from my squad members about getting shot close in.
4-1: Players shall refrain from arguments and engaging in any activities that may jeopardize future airsoft events at Apocalypse.
4-4: Players shall refrain from calling another player “out” or “hit”. The only people who can call a player hit are that player & an OC. calling other players out shall be deemed as unsportsman-like & may result in the offending player receiving a penalty. Do not let other players bad habits affect yours.
Those two rules were broken by a player, whom I found out was Domingo CO. Turned a corner of the building, and didn't feel a hit when he fired while I was saying bang kill. I agreed to take the hit while the player continued to argue and call me out and other things were said. It wasn't until other people inside of the building told him to just call the hit...... did he finally decide to call it. When I spoke my mind, as this player was, Breech took my yellow card, and then talked to the other player. Again didn't find out it was the Domingo CO until I walked back to base.
17-2: RPG Area Effect shall kill all players within a 10 foot radius of their impact, regardless which side activated them. (See 16-5)
Told my rocket man, as well as another squads rocket man to hit a building, through a door, where Domingo were standing....only to have the rocket hit and then the other team fire back from the door right away.
17-6: If a rocket destroys a vehicle, the vehicle is considered the blast radius center.
We had hit the APC on the back road with 3 rockets, only to have all the players bail out and start shooting my guys.
18-1: Each player is allowed to carry up to 2 grenades on their person at any one time (extra may be left at a base). Any class of player may use/carry grenades. Hand grenades must be tossed UNDERHAND, and should not be thrown more than head high (six feet) off the ground. NO BASEBALL THROWS.
I had 2 or 3 grenades go about 6 feet above my head, while an OC was standing behind me. And nothing was said.
These are the main rules that were being broken during the game. I was, on more than a few times, over shot MANY times by players. People were not able to pull out a kill rag when you have 30 more bbs coming at your head.
There were quite a few players not calling their hits as well. I know for a fact that I had more than a few hits that were solid only to have the player turn, give me the bird, and open fire on me.
The childish behavior of the Co of Domingo. I honestly don't feel bad for calling you out Bat, because the way you acted inside the wood shed was awful. Now yes I lost my cool, but I took the hit, while you danced around like a child complaining and spewing out "words". And when I defended myself I was the one punished.
While I was on the back road for a scouting mission, we had the APC drive past us. When asked if we could take the APC we were told no. Only to have the apc taken by our forces around by the FOB. When we heard we had the APC we asked for it on the back road, mind you it just drove past us, we were told it was to wet for it in the back. Only to find out 5 min later it was driving through the castle to attack our guys behind the castle. So we called up our rocket, and had TWO solid hits, only to have the guys bail out and hose my guys. I was hearing people say that they were waiving a dead rag and STILL getting shot by players.
WHY were these players still alive?
WHY were they shooting a dead player, with NOBODY behind them?
WHY did the OC's in the truck do NOTHING?
WHY did the Domingo get the APC on the back road and Cesiar couldn't?
Why was the APC able to be repaired in under 30 sec on the field?
Beginning of day 2 we were told we would have 30 min to get to the base, set our stuff down, and get back to our spots...... we had 8 minutes!!! Cesiar had barely gotten to our base when we heard the game on. That is great and all if you were Domingo, but thanks for screwing the other team. And where did all the Domingo come from in tin city? I cleared the city saturday night and there was nobody there, maybe one or two got back in, but not the numbers that were being heard over the radio.
Cesiar leadership....... yeah what leadership. WE HAD NONE! Our CO was more interested in getting out and playing, than he was at actually Leading the game as a CO. When asked where certain items were on the field, we would get a blank look and no answer.
The rule changes were BS.... all day Saturday they were getting changed, to what seemed to be in the favor of Domingo. We were seeing the same players come back to the field as SOON as we would shoot them. Now yes we didn't know about the "instant" respawn rule that the other team had...... but if the numbers were not close, then that isn't our fault. More planning should have gone into the game.
Sunday the rules changed even more! After launching multiple rockets at buildings did we find out that they didn't do anything. So what is the point to even having the launchers out on the field? I mean they don't do squat to anything on the field anymore.
The medics.....our own medic didn't know what was going on. When we asked 3 different OC's we would get two different answers. Or the OC wouldn't know the answer and have to ask..... You are the OC for an event, you ask the players to know the rules before the game, you should at least give us the same respect in knowing the rules!
That being said...... the only OC's that I did see, were either in the APC driving around joy riding, talking to each other, or right by Batman. It always seemed that were ever Breech was.....well there was Batman not far away.
When did the rules change that if a CO was killed that he was able to respawn? For the past years this was NEVER the case....but now that batman was the CO the rules seem to change for him.
The missions that were given out.... yeah all Domingo. At least if you are going to set up the objectives at least place them in the middle of the field, and not close to the Domingo starting point. Or if you are giving a team a mission...... MAKE SURE THE OBJECTIVE IS THERE! I was on the castle about an hour or so on the first day. There was NO INTEL on the castle wall.
Overall this event was a joke. If you can't give an event the time it needs, then don't go ahead with it. The OC's didn't know what they were doing, that is when you could find one actually paying attention. The blatant cheating of players was awful. Shooting through walls, and what should be SOLID items.
I am sorry to say.... well I am not, but Breech you had no right in planning this event. You had no clue as to what you were doing and destroyed the event for many of us. As it always seemed as if when something was getting changed, from you, it seemed to be coming from Batman. The only information that we would get on the main forum...was from Batman. From a players stand point it really seemed as if Batman had planned everything and had his fingers in the missions and everything else.
To our CO.... Jonesy.... sorry but if you want to go out and shoot with the guys, DONT BE THE CO OF A TEAM. You were there for planning and getting things done.......and nothing got done. We took it upon our selves to get missions done, and to direct players where to go. You provided next to nothing to the team and where more or less a waste of space on the field.
Most of 2-3 was part of the guys that left. We DID inform you WHY we were leaving .... and you shrugged us off. That shows us that you didn't care about us or the game enough to give a damn. I for one DID NOT drive more than 8 hours and spend a few hundred to play with the level of players that were out on the field. I could have saved my time, effort, and money and played with people on my home field. Been home in my own bed, and have more fun. This is in no disrespect to the guys at my home field, but they were at a higher level than the players on the field.
After hearing that this game is suppose to be a lead up to the Lions Claw events.... I personally feel that the organizers of those events would not be happy at the caliber of the game this past weekend. To say that this event was ANYWHERE NEAR that of a lions claw is a JOKE!
After being excited at coming to these games, and looking forward to them every year, I am not planning on ever going to any DMG hosted game. The maturity level of the DMG "players" and "OC" at this game were a joke, and I would be ashamed to call any of you team mates.
